A DIFFERENT KIND OF BEGINNING

Feeling heard
is a good place to start.

If therapy hasn’t felt right before, it makes sense to feel unsure about starting again. Maybe you felt rushed, misunderstood, or expected to fit someone else’s idea of progress.

There’s room to talk about that here, too. We can start with what you need, what hasn’t helped, and what you’d like to feel different. You don’t need a polished story to begin.

You get a say in what we work on, how we work, and what feels helpful.

LESS AUTOPILOT. MORE YOU.

A more intentional life,
one small choice at a time.

Change doesn’t have to mean becoming someone else. It can mean noticing what you need, choosing what matters, and making a little more room for both.

01

ANXIETY & OVERWHELM

Find your
breathing room.

Untangle the noise and explore practical ways to feel more grounded when your thoughts won’t slow down.

02

ANGER & BIG EMOTIONS

Pause.
Then choose.

Understand what’s underneath a strong feeling and practice responding in ways that reflect who you want to be.

03

DEPRESSION & SELF-ACCEPTANCE

Be on your
own side.

Make space for the hard days, soften the self-criticism, and explore small steps toward a life that feels meaningful.

04

RELATIONSHIPS & BOUNDARIES

Connect without
losing yourself.

Get to know your needs, communicate more clearly, and recognize what belongs in your life and what no longer fits.

We can also explore the everyday rhythms that support you: movement, nourishment, rest, and people you can lean on.

MEET THE PERSON YOU’LL BE TALKING TO

Hi, I’m Daire.
I’m glad you’re here.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado Springs, and I believe you deserve a place where you can be honest, feel accepted, and get curious about what comes next.

When emotions feel loud or life feels cluttered with everyone else’s advice, it can be hard to hear yourself. I help people work through anxiety, depression, anger, and relationship challenges while reconnecting with what feels meaningful to them.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and centered on you. I often draw on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you notice the links between your thoughts, feelings, and actions, and practice skills you can bring into everyday life.

I’m also a full SOMB Adult and Juvenile treatment provider. My SOMB services focus on treatment; I do not provide SOMB evaluations.

More about how I work

We’ll build our work around your needs, drawing from different approaches as we go. That may mean learning to pause before reacting, finding healthier ways to solve problems, or understanding the patterns that show up in your relationships.

Self-acceptance and gratitude can be part of that work. If forgiveness is meaningful to you, we can explore it at your pace, without making it an expectation. Your boundaries and your experience matter.

I also make room for the whole of your life: how you rest, move, eat, and stay connected. Together, we can identify realistic changes that support the way you want to live.

I offer individual, couples, and family counseling, as well as support for children and teens. If faith is important to you, it can have a place in our conversations. Wherever you’re starting, awareness, authenticity, acceptance, and curiosity guide our work.

Let’s get to know each other

Individual Counseling

One-to-one support for your concerns, your goals, and the changes you want to make in everyday life.

About this service

One-to-one support built around the concerns and goals that matter to you. Sessions can focus on coping, relationships, emotional stability, trauma-related concerns, substance use, or the challenges affecting everyday family life. For child-welfare referrals, the work also connects to child safety and family protective capacity. Your clinician chooses an appropriate approach with you and reviews progress as your needs change.

What to expect: An individualized treatment plan, practical work during sessions, and agreed activities between sessions when they would help.

Family Counseling

Space for family members to understand one another, strengthen communication, and work through challenges together.

About this service

A space to understand the patterns that shape family life and practice more helpful ways of relating. Work may involve two or more family members and focuses on the family's specific concerns, measurable goals, and protective roles. Sessions can support communication, empathy, emotional stability, and changes that carry into daily life. Participation is planned around each person's needs and safety.

What to expect: A family-centered plan, agreed participants and goals, practice between sessions when appropriate, and regular reviews of progress.

Group Therapy

Guided therapeutic conversations with others working on compatible concerns, with attention to each person’s goals and group fit.

About this service

Therapeutic work with others who are addressing compatible concerns, guided by a qualified provider. A group may focus on coping, communication, relationship patterns, assertiveness, substance use, or other identified treatment needs. Goals remain individual even when learning and practice happen together. The provider considers readiness, group fit, and safety before enrollment and reviews each person's progress throughout the work.

What to expect: A suitability review, clear group agreements, attendance and participation tracking, and an individual treatment plan supported by group sessions.

Psychoeducational Group

Structured learning and practical activities that help you understand useful concepts and bring new skills into daily life.

About this service

A structured learning group that helps participants understand useful concepts and practice skills connected to their treatment goals. Sessions follow a curriculum and may support individuals or families. The emphasis is education and using what you learn in daily life. For county-funded services, the curriculum needs the required Core Services approval before it is used under that service authorization.

What to expect: A defined curriculum, practical activities, opportunities to demonstrate learning, and progress reviews connected to the participant's plan.

Assessments & coordinated care

The referral question guides the process. We’ll review the requested service, provider qualifications, and availability before scheduling.

Assessment

An individualized look at your concerns, history, strengths, and current needs to help identify useful next steps.

About this service

A starting point when you know something needs attention but are unsure what kind of help would fit. We explore your concerns, history, strengths, and current needs, including mental health and substance use where relevant. The assessment brings that information together in a written summary and recommendations to help you and your care team choose useful next steps.

What to expect: A clinical interview, a review of relevant records and collateral information when authorized, and an individualized discussion of recommendations.

Child Welfare Global Assessment

A broader look at a family’s needs, strengths, and protective capacities to support child safety and appropriate services.

About this service

A broader assessment for people involved with child welfare services. It considers how mental health, substance use, family violence, trauma, and parenting concerns may affect a child and family. Alongside areas of concern, it looks at strengths and protective capacities. The aim is to identify appropriate services and develop recommendations that support child safety and the family's needs.

What to expect: A review of the referral, interviews and relevant information, selected assessment tools where appropriate, and a written report for authorized members of the care team.

Interactional Assessment

Observation of the relationship between a child and a parent or potential guardian. This assessment does not determine whether someone is fit to parent.

About this service

An opportunity to understand the relationship between a child and a parent or potential guardian through observation and relevant background information. The assessment explores communication, attachment, empathy, protective capacities, and parenting strengths, along with areas where support could help. Recommendations focus on the relationship and the family's treatment needs. This assessment does not determine whether someone is fit to parent.

What to expect: Observation and assessment methods selected for the family’s circumstances, with at least two sessions when required by the county service authorization.

Domestic Violence Offender Evaluation

A specialized referral service addressing domestic violence concerns, treatment needs, and safety risks. Referral circumstances and required evaluator qualifications are reviewed before scheduling.

About this service

An in-depth evaluation of domestic violence concerns, relevant history, treatment needs, and safety risks. The process can include a structured interview, assessment instruments, criminal-history information, and appropriate collateral sources. The legal status of the referral affects the standards that apply. The report offers individualized recommendations; it does not determine guilt, guarantee safety, or decide a legal case.

What to expect: Referral and qualification review, a comprehensive evaluation by an appropriately approved evaluator, and a written report shared only through an authorized process.
